About us
Hi there! Hannah and Brady, founders of Seven Sundays, first discovered and fell in love with muesli on their honeymoon in New Zealand. Upon returning home to the US, they realized the breakfast aisle was seriously lacking in clean, quality options. Hannah rolled up her sleeves and got to work on the first Seven Sundays muesli recipe, first sold in a Minneapolis farmers market in 2011.
We are now one of the fastest growing breakfast brands–our Upcycled Cereals, Muesli, Granola and Protein Oats are sold in over 9,000 stores including Target, Whole Foods, Kroger, Costco, Sam’s Club, and Sprouts.
We are rethinking the food system from the ground up, making cereals that improve the health of the people & planet. Proudly a B Corp since 2019, the heart of the business remains the same as we grow: a small team hustling to create a better breakfast, one that works in harmony with nature and benefits all - from the soil, to our farmers, to you.
Our Core Values
- Think outside the box - Our curious and passionate nature takes us AFIELD.
- Embrace the underdog spirit - We quietly and confidently defy the odds.
- Get our hands dirty - We dig deep to get to the root.
- Care deeply - We are thoughtful in everything we do, no matter how small.
Role Description
We’re adding a Quality Technician to our growing Seven Sundays team — someone who’s equal parts detail detective, documentation wizard, and ingredient sleuth. You love a good spreadsheet, don’t miss a comma on a Certificate of Analysis, and secretly get a thrill from checking boxes (and then double-checking them).
Your friends might describe you as organized, steady, and maybe a little too excited about properly labeled samples. You’re the kind of person who reads ingredient specs for fun and takes pride in making sure what’s on paper matches what’s in the bag.
This new full time, exempt role is a critical part of how we deliver safe, high-quality food made with real ingredients. You’ll help manage supplier documentation, review COAs (certificates of analysis), and make sure our partners and co-manufacturers are keeping up with our standards. Basically, you’re the gatekeeper of “good stuff only.”
This is primarily an in-office role in Bloomington, MN, though supplier visits or audits occur semi frequently (think a road trip a month or so). We work across time zones, chase deadlines, and juggle priorities — but we do it together, with humor, snacks, and strong coffee.
If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in a perfectly aligned spreadsheet, a complete COA file, or a supplier who finally sends the right document on time — you’ll fit right in.
Role Responsibilities
- Keep our supplier documentation squeaky clean and up to date — think specs, contracts, quality agreements, assessments.
- Help onboard new suppliers and make sure their paperwork is in order before the first package leaves the building.
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List and track renewals, requalifications, and expiration dates (yes, organization nerds are celebrated here).
- Review and verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) — making sure every lot, limit, and signature checks out.
- Spot the weird stuff — identify out-of-spec results, trends, or anomalies before they become bigger issues.
- Help standardize COA templates and guidelines for suppliers (because consistency = happiness).
- Maintain supplier and COA data in our systems, and create reports that show how we’re doing.
- Support audits, projects, and documentation requests like the pro you are - you will be visiting co-manufacturing sites, so expect up to 25% travel.
- Collaborate with our sourcing, R&D, and operations teams to solve problems, fix gaps, and push for continuous improvement.
Required Experience
- 1–3 years in food, beverage, or ingredient quality or QA (or equivalent experience).
- Solid understanding of quality and food safety basics — GMPs, HACCP, and good documentation practices.
- Next-level attention to detail. (You probably noticed a typo in this sentence, didn’t you?)
- Strong organization and multitasking skills — you love lists, timelines, and tidy folders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Analytical brain — you spot patterns before anyone else does.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with QMS or document control systems (ERP, SharePoint, etc.).
- Familiarity with standards like SQF, BRC, or FSSC.
- Some experience with supplier audits or ingredient testing.
- Basic project management chops.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package
- 401k with matching
- Monthly cell phone stipend
- Working with a high-performing team in a flexible, open office environment (with unlimited cereal…!)
Bring your curiosity, precision, and passion for real food. We’ll bring the cereal, coffee, and a team that genuinely cares about doing good work.
If you are interested, please submit your resume along with why you are excited about–and a good fit–for this role, team, and mission.
